Saint-Lin-Laurentides is a municipality in Quebec (Canada), located in the Montcalm Regional County Municipality (MRC) in the Lanaudière administrative region1. Topynymie The city is named in honor of Saint Lin, who was the second pope2. There is a commune of the same name in the French province of Poitou in New Aquitaine. Geography In the MRC: Montcalm. It was born from the merger of the municipality of Saint-Lin (1836) and Ville des Laurentides (1883). The former mayor of the city is André Auger and he was mayor of the municipality for about 40 years. The current mayor (2015) is Patrick Massé of the Avenir Citoyen party, which was elected in 2013 during a general election.
